Our Story&Vision

For us, jewelry is a value rooted in tradition. For five generations our family has been in the jewelry business, based in the Grand Bazaar of Istanbul. It’s an art form still being practiced after centuries, passing on from father to child. As two Armenian youths raised in this environment we learned the craft first from our fathers and then the true artists, the masters of the business. We are proud to say our ancestors have been working with gold, silver and other types of metal for hundreds of years. The existence of this magnificent history and culture backing our jewelry inspires us to do creative and innovative projects that proclaim our vision, art and style. As representatives of a tradition that’s been transmitted over the centuries we’ve been working earnestly to present our expertise to people around the world. In the quest to introduce our vision to the greater public, the Los Angeles-based brand Augusta Antonina Fine Jewelry was established in 2023 as a small business. We are extremely devoted and motivated to grow this business by touching many souls with our work of art.

Augusta Antonina is the ancient name of Istanbul. When the name changed from Byzantium to Augusta Antonina in 198 AC, it breathed new life to a city that had previously stagnated for 700 years, bringing with it wealth and prosperity. Augusta Antonina inspires us by representing our culture and reflecting our goals in every way possible, becoming part of our identity in the process.
